Leupold is famous for its 'Full Lifetime Guarantee,' but it will not service counterfeit products. Regrettably, owners learn the truth when they send faulty products to Leupold for warranty service. Leupold's warning says, 'These fake products bear many of the trademarks and trade dress of current Leupold & Stevens rifle scopes, and are sometimes difficult to distinguish externally from authentic Leupold products.' The products are illegally imported from the People's Republic of China, which is a profligate violator of patent and trademark rights.
